Definition of "Kampoushou"

Mr. Kanpou is the founder of the Japanese Calligraphy Foundation. This is an honorary award bestowed twice a year at the National Calligraphy Competition. Mr. Kanpou had not only exerted efforts for the development of Japanese calligraphy in Japan, but has also been active in the propagation of Japanese calligraphy abroad in order to enhance cultural understanding.
